How Long do Potential Home-Sellers Take to Choose an Agent?

• By admin-account on November 2nd, 2017 •

A large majority of potential home-sellers take up to 30 days to choose their agent after a valuation, a new study has found.

Research carried out by one of the industry’s leading software providers, Reapit, highlighted how 68 per cent of people take around a month to decide on their agent.

Reapit examined more than 335,000 market appraisals from a number of different agents as part of their study.
Only seven per cent of valuations convert into an instruction to sell within 24-hours.

Average Valuer Conversion Rates

The average valuation to instruction conversion ratio for an estate agent was 34 per cent. Agents that performed within the top ten per cent in the country saw that number rise to 51 per cent.

Reapit’s figures also show that agents that fall into the best performing category could be responsible for generating up 50 per cent more revenue for an agency.
