With hundreds of thousands of likes, as well as relevant and funny content for anyone in the lettings world- she’s a lady who knows the power of putting yourself out there and using tech to your advantage – and that’s what Acaboom is all about too.
We caught up with her to find out more about what makes her tick as well as how Acaboom drove conversions by 26% for Haslams in just 8 months.
Can you tell us about how you used Acaboom to improve the conversion rate at Haslams?
Firstly, we mapped out our Landlord’s journey. We wanted to understand where our strengths were and our weaknesses. As market leaders, we were already achieving great conversion but we just wanted to speed up the process and modernise our approach.
What Acaboom features have had the most benefit to Haslams?
The pre-valuation presentation is super slick; it hits their phone and inbox almost instantly and just looks mega impressive. When it comes to after an appraisal, we (especially our admin team) love the digital eSignature tool of AcaSign – it’s fast and saves bogging down other teams with more work. We also use data slides to present market and property data too.
What is the valuers’ feedback from using Acaboom?
It makes them feel confident and let’s face it, that’s what a lot of our job is. If we feel confident in our sales pitch it comes across that way to our clients. Acaboom helps us get it right.
Haslams has been around for 200 years but obviously given your social media presence and using tools like Acaboom, it’s a business that isn’t afraid to move with the times?
The best way to summarise Haslams is our central Reading office. It’s a mixture of heritage and modern industrial vibes. We have posters and heirlooms from the original Haslams around our office but with video screens and displays built into our exposed brick walls. We don’t wait until we have to evolve, it’s part of our ethos to look forward and that’s why Acaboom makes sense. We have a huge push to be more streamlined, but more vitally – to be more sustainable. This has reduced paper, printing and our carbon footprint.
You have a good finger on the pulse of what’s changing in the market. In terms of process and how agents work – what do you think are the biggest challenges ahead for estate agents? Naturally everyone’s biggest hurdle currently is constant legislative changes and how that impacts stock levels. Stats from Propertymark have shown a reduction of stock in the PRS by 39% nationally. Investing in the right staff, technologies, and processes will be vital, so that’s my top tip.
